BEYOND THE MISCONCEPTIONS OF FOOD INSECURITY

A Data-Driven and Oral Narrative Approach

By Dawn Harris

This research project explores the realities of food insecurity through data and the lived experiences of individuals who have faced it. By combining research with personal stories, the project challenges common misconceptions and provides a deeper understanding of what food insecurity can look like in our communities.

EXPLORE THE PROJECT

Explore the data and personal stories behind food insecurity. Learn more about who experiences food insecurity, the challenges individuals and families face, and why the reality may be different from what many people assume.

HEAR THEIR STORIES

Behind the data are real people and real experiences. Hear directly from individuals as they share their experiences with food insecurity and help challenge some of the assumptions surrounding who needs food assistance and why.
